My name is Mikhail Valentin, I am a first year student here at LaGuardia Community college. I am 19 years old. I have completed 12 credits towards an Associate in Science Degree and my major is Fine Arts. After getting my degree here I plan on going to the School of Visual Arts where I will major in Illustration and get my bachelors. For my masters, I would like to attend Art Center College in Pasadena, CA where I feel I will be adequately challenged as an artist and storyteller.

As an illustrator, my ideal employment opportunity would be with a movie, or videogame studio/company as a concept/storyboard artist and/or character designer. As a concept and storyboard artist, it will be my job to create a visual script for the project I’m working on. As a character designer, it will be my job to create interesting and dynamic characters that are aesthetically pleasing and that can be related to by an audience.

Eventually, I would like to obtain a position as an art director in one of these companies where I can be in charge of the complete visual style of a project and collaborate with many different artists to create dynamic worlds and characters that appeal to the audiences senses, transporting them through time and space for an unforgettable playing or viewing experience.
