Naho Kaneko ePortfolio

Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting my ePortfolio. My name is Naho Kaneko. I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I decided to come to NY just after I graduated from high school in Tokyo. I studied English in Japan after high school, so I didn't go to English school here in NY. I have been in LaGuardia Community College for two years now, and am planning to graduate after the Spring '06 semester with an associate degree in Business Administration. After I graduate from LaGuardia Community College, I will continue to study business at Baruch College.

I was really surprised when I got a letter for ePortfoilo Superstars. I had just taken CIS100, which is the Introduction to Computer class last semester where I got to know about ePortofolio. I had no idea what an ePortofolio was when I first made it. I found it interesting when I started to make one because I could put pictures, and papers from any class that I was taking or had taken before. I thought it was a great opportunity to show other people what I had achieved at LaGuardia Community College.

The first thing I did for my ePortfolio was gather essays that I wrote in my CIS100 class. Then I had to revise these essays to put them into my ePortfolio. Then I brought pictures of sites in Tokyo, my family, and my friends. I have learned how to edit pictures, and how to use them in my own ePortfolio. I thought creating my homepage was so much fun because I was actually good at creating web pages. Before I created my ePortofolio, I didn't know anything about making web pages or editing pictures, so it was a great oppotunity to learn those skills.

I think it is important to create an internet web page or ePortofolio because you can easily show your work to so many people, and it will remain available for so many years. It was so hard for me to create my own page a second time because I used more sophisticated software, such as (Dreamweaver). I had to learn Dreamwaver. Eventhough it was hard for me to use Dreamweaver and to learn how to use it, it was still fun for me to work on my ePortofolio, and I enjoyed making a new one.

I hope you ENJOY my ePortofolio.

Again, thank you for visiting my ePortfolio!!
