Course Description This is a beginning course designed to develop skills in a form of manual communication used primarily by American-born deaf persons in interpersonal (face-to-face) relations. Emphasis will be on the use of the body for visually based communication, and the structure, vocabulary and development of American Sign Language.

REFLECTION:

This class made this writer a different person. Each class just stirred eagerness and passion to keep on learning about the deaf culture. It opened up a whole new world where language is expressed not through words but by body and facial expressions. I recommend that everyone take this course. It is really amazing!
