Course Description: Students will identify and examine the concepts and connections among the various disciplines within the humanities such as: philosophy, art, music, theatre, language, and literature. They will do so through a series of readings, observations, and museum/ theatre visits and apply basic principles of aesthetics and interpretation.
REFLECTION: Art, paintings, music, theater, museums are the words that defines this class. This writer had a wonderful time analyzing the life and works of various painters. The life of an artist or what he aspires to be usually define his work of art. Ones emotion and life experiences are portrayed in their work. It is their living testiomony of their existence. One learned how to appreciate not only the aesthetic beauty of a painting but also its meaning and purpose. |
