Welcome To My e-Portfolio
My name is Charmaine Corlette. I am American but, my parents and the rest of my family were born in Guyana. I live in Jamaica, Queens with my grandmother and my aunt. I just graduated from North Rockland High School in Stony Point, NY. Prior to that I went to Ramapo Senior High School for half of my junior year in Spring Valley, NY
and prior to that I went to Benjamin N. Cardozo for my freshman and sophomore years. So as you can see I did a lot of moving around in the last four years. I am currently a student at LaGuardia Community College and my major is Accounting. I chose accounting because what I really want to do is to become is a tax consultant like my mother. After I graduate from LaGuardia, I want to go to either Baruch College or
Hofstra University and I want to join my mother at her tax firm that should be up and running by the end of this year.
Reflection
I first heard about ePortfolio from my Intro to Business professor, because she was telling us that we have to upload our assignments there so she could view them. I didn't have any idea as to what she was talking about until I had my Studio Hour class. It was then that I understood what an ePortfolio was. If I had to do this on my own, I wouldn't have known where to begin. I am glad that I had Studio Hour as a class. Having to create an ePortfolio enhanced my computer skills. The most interesting part about creating my ePortfolio was choosing a template. While I was creating my ePortfolio, I thought about what things I would like to see if I were looking at someone else's ePortfolio and I went from there. I would recommend that every college student create an ePortfolio, it is a great way to keep track of all your assignments, projects and homeworks for future reference. You can control who had access to your ePortfolio and who doesn't.
