EDUCATIONAL GOALS

Over the course of many years, I have pondered what it was that I wanted to do with my life.  Being an artist, I thought long and hard about what would interest me to no end and what I would get the greatest joy out of excelling at.  Then, as if fate itself sent me a calling, I found what it was I was meant to do.  I chose to go into a career in the field of 3D animation and modeling under the computer graphics or CG industry.  This amazing career field develops computer generated visuals that simulate or mimic aspects of real life in creative and sometimes very abstract ways.  For example, many people have seen movies like "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones", "Shark Tale", or "Shrek" which have a great deal of 3D animated material.  You know that it is not real life but it looks almost indistinguishably close to the real thing, a fact that makes computer graphics or CG a very lucrative commodity to movie, commercial, and TV entities around the world.

For a naturally born artist like me, the 3D animation field just seemed like the next logical step.  I am always looking for new and interesting ways to express my imaginative works and 3D animation and modeling allows me to do so by giving substance to my ideas and the ideas of others.  Not only can I create on paper what is in my mind's eye or in a studio project, but I can now breathe life into these ideas by actually building and animating them thereby giving them form and function in real life settings.  This intricate interaction between reality and imagination is the founding force that leads me to fall head over heals with 3D animation as a life career.
