So you want to know about me, huh? My life has traveled down a seemingly long and rewarding road. Though there were definitely bumps along the way, I feel that my life is headed in the direction that I can finally control. Before you understand where I am going, you have to understand the person I am. I am Joey! My birth name is Aaron Josef Hudson and the following will give you a short but effective idea of what makes!!

Family is always a good starting point when one is talking about themselves so this is where I will begin. I am one of three siblings. I have two sisters who reside with my mother in Virginia. My father passed away when I was fourteen. My grandmother raised me after my father passed away. My father's passing away had a huge affect on my outlook on life. I've learned so much from him while he was living and in his death, he taught me to never look back and always keep one step ahead.

I graduated from high school in 1994. A year prior to graduation, I started thinking about what my plans were after graduation. I wasn't ready to jump right back into school, so I was confused as to what I was going to do. I was playing a game of basketball one day when a Marine Corps recruiter approached me about the military. I always thought about going into the military, but I just never knew which branch to talk to. The Marine Corps came to me first, so I stuck with them and joined the Delayed Entry Program in the summer of 1993.

From boot camp to discharge, the United States Marine Corps has been an experience like no other. The experiences, the camaraderie, the friendships, the discipline, the memories are all aspects of this amazing journey that will last in me forever. I could describe a few as detailed as possible, but my words could never come close to being there. My final duty station, here in Garden City was the beginning of the next chapter of my life when I met my wife, Jaclyn.

At the age of 26, I was blessed with an amazing woman, Jaclyn Nicole Hudson. She has definitely proven to be my rock, my shoulder, that friend that I know will be there no matter what may happen. I know this for a fact, I'm speaking from experience. The year following our marriage, we were blessed once again with our baby girl, Melina Rose. She is now four years young and a handful and a half, but I can never picture my life without her or her mother.

Now, my life has led me here to LaGuardia Community College to jumpstart my career. I am majoring in Computer Operations with the intent to focus on Networking or Forensics. This is my intent, anyway! I have a background in the computer field and love anything that involves the industry. Whether this means building, fixing, or networking computers, I am all for learning anything and everything I can in this vast industry. My immediate plans are to maintain no less than a 3.5 or higher GPA. I am looking to attend Morehouse College to continue my education. From that point, wherever life takes me, I am ready for the adventures to come. Alright, there you go.

There's my brief introduction of whom I am. Remember my name after reading this. You will hear my name again one day. I plan to leave my mark here at LaGuardia Community College. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little more about me. I hope I can return the favor one day soon.
