Movie Reviews A - H
The Bourne Ultimatum

The Bourne Ultimatum starts with an action sequence that will surely make you hold your breath. It goes on with one of the best action movies of 2007. Moreover, it excels all of it's sequels, not only in its level of excitement and tension, it also brings a nice conclusion to its complex storyline. Matt Damon did a great job in portraying Jason Bourne and I think this movie will live on as one of the best trilogy of Hollywood's History.
Casino Royale

Casino Royale breaks away from its traditions of black-haired Bond, by using blonde-haired heartthrob Daniel Craig. This movie goes back to its root by being a remake of its first original movie with the same name. Casino Royale is an intense action/spy movie that stick to its famous remedy of plot twists and beautiful women. It's a very entertaining movie and Daniel Craig do not disappoint as the new fictional womanizer, James Bond.
Children of Men

Children of Men is a story of the near future when humankind are unable to reproduce their future generations. This movie definitely is an eye-opener for me, it teaches me that we can't take everything for granted and how beautiful a human life is. Clive Owen have some really solid performance and I can't help but loving this movie.
The Departed

The Departed is considered one of the best movie of 2006. I agree. Based on the Chinese version of Infernal Affairs, it speaks of a tale between two Massachusette State Police, one undercover and the other works for the mafia. It's a tense movie, elevated by the presense of great actors such as Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Leo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg, whom all acted amazingly. The twists in the story are so unpredictable yet satisfying.
Disturbia

Disturbia is one of the most exciting yet less hyped movies of 2007. Under the category of psychological thriller, It's a very fresh yet entertaining movie of the year. Shia Lebouf is proofing his worth more as an A-list Hollywood actor. This movie is definitely worth a watch!
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is an entertaining yet mediocre movie. I do believe it's an improvement from its first installment. Yet Fantastic Four is still lacking the sophistication of other superheroes movie such as Spider-Man and Batman series. However, like I said this movie is a very light, entertaining movie and people, especially Fantastic Four fans, would definitely enjoy this movie.
1408

1408 is a movie based on Stephen King's short story about a man who don't believe in the other world. He traveled all over USA to learn and break the secret of "hunted" hotels. This horror movie is a unique yet a believeable scary movie. I quite like it and of course John Cusack get to be wet yet again. (Think of Silent Hill 4: The Room)
Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider again is a fairly entertaining movie, in a way I think it's just jumping the Superheroes movies band wagon. Even though it has good enough special effects, the whole movie is just lacking in sophistication. However, for comic book fans and a less-hardcore movie watcher, they will find this movie good. Still it's not a bad movie and I still have an enjoyable time watching it.
Halloween

I really don't like to jump down a movie's throat, but I do think that Halloween is one of the bad classic remake. Sadly this movie could have been good, but Rob Zombie just can't pull it off. I don't believe anybody should touch a classic unless they are really sure that they can come out with a masterpiece. Halloween is not one. I think this movie takes away the mystical quality of Mike Myers, one that make him so scary, by showing us "his childhood". And I'm even more surprised because I would have thought that me having not watch its original version would at least find this good, but I was wrong. I can't even imagine how are the feelings of people who watched and loved the original version.
Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix

Now people might think that I'm biased in reviewing this movie because I'm a big Harry Potter fan. However, I tried to be a fair judge on this matter and I still think that H.P and the Order of the Phoenix is a great Harry Potter movie, in fact, I think it's the best yet. I always have a hard time to enjoy its earlier series, but I thoroughly enjoy this one and I think the director has done a great job in portraying it. A straight 4 stars out of 5!
Hostel Part II

Hostel Part II is actually a present surprise for me. I love the first Hostel though it's goriness. However, I think the sequell of Hostel is an amazing addition on the story of the first one. It also shows the dark side of a human and it just keep you tense until the last minute. The ending might have been a little bit better but overall, it still gives you a HUGE sense of satisfaction.
