Assignments

Narrative essay is a story told by a writer. In our narrative essays for this class, we had to share personal experiences and recall particular events in our lives. From the fist view, it may seem to be a simple assignment. I do not deny that it was easy to organize the ideas into a complete essay; however, in terms of personal feelings, it was a very emotional experience for me. Being in this country for two years, I have not had a chance to go back yet. Therefore, every time I was asked to remember any specific event in my life, the memories of my home, people whom I love, and all the challenges I had to go through flashed in my mind brining the feeling of loneliness and sadness. Despite of this fact, narrative essays gave a chance to look back at my life and analyze the decisions that I made and steps that I took in the past. I have learned one important lesson to never regret about anything that is already in the past, but to learn from it instead.”
