I am the kind of person that I think nothing is impossible in life. If I don't know how to do something I learn how to do it. If I have to try many times I will do it as well.

When I received a letter to become part of one of the students of the scholars project, I though to myself “I must go and ask to find out what it's about it”. However, I was very interested because at my last semester at la Guardia in one of my marketing classes I had to create an ePortfolio, but because I was under to much pressure with my other classes I didn't have to much time to spend in working in my ePorfolio, so I did the basic one. Then, I figured up that the professor for who I created my ePorfolio was the one that recommend me to become part of this scholar project.

Now that I had this great opportunity I feel very excited. By creating this intermediate ePortfolio, I discovered to myself one more time that if you want to do something not matter how hard apparently it looks, what really matters is how much you are willing to do something.

Personally, when I was looking to the ePorfolios from other students I said to myself well, what should I write? Almost all the students write the same, but then I also realized that they might look the same but every student also has their own knowledge, intelligence, and creativeness and so on.

In my case I am not an expert with computers, but I had always love everything that has to be with creating, designing and learning, especially everything involved with web design, and of course what inspired me more to do this ePorfolio was that I would have the opportunity to write which I love to do.

Then as a result, by creating this ePorfolio I discovered that I am capable to do many things. As I said before what really matters is your eager to do something. I also think that is very enthusiastic when you have someone at your side that motivates you to do something and teach you how to do it. This is what I really found out from the people that work in the ePorfolio lab. They are always willing to advice you, to teach you, to help you, to share with you. That is very important especially for students who always are asking for help when they have questions.

Creating this ePorfolio really improved my critical thinking. For instance, now I feel that when you write from your heart, it's easier and more real. Is not about to impress or glamour the words, is to write what you really feel and how you feel it. It is to concentrate and think for one moment about your experiences, spilling out everything that you have inside.

I have gained more computer skills and I now that by creating this ePortfolio will also help me to make more connections in an academic and professional way. For instance, for an interview I can carry just my pen drive and show then my resume. By doing this the employers who interview me will have the opportunity to see my ePorftolio and see that I have very good skills. At the same time, my family and friends will be able to see the work that I have done. Moreover, it is a chance to reflect on my educational goals, in what position I am right now and where I want to be in the future.

Finally this ePorfolio has opened my knowledge more that what I have though. I got impressed from my own self. It is going to be always a pleasure for me to advice any student to really take advantage of this great opportunity.

Thanks to the entire faculty, Professors, and student technology mentors for making part of my knowledge growth as a student at LaGuardia Community College .

God bless you !
