I graduated in Travel and Tourism Service Management on September 20th of 2007

Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” and I totally agree with this quotation.

For me education is a very powerful tool that opens many doors wherever you go.

When I just came to this country I had to struggle with many issues. One of those issues was the English language. Apart from that, I had to finish High School in the U.S. and then pass some exams in order to graduate from H.S. Then, when I went to college I also had to struggle with the language, but I have always had something in mind and it is that, no matter how much I have to struggle to obtain something, what is more valuable is that I can make possible every goal that I set up to do in my life.

Now that I have graduated from LaGuardia Community College, and that I have obtained an Associate in Applied Science in my major Travel and Tourism, I feel very proud of my self because regardless of the obstacles that I had to confront I was able achieve one of my goals.

A short term goal is to obtain a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management in City Tech. I am also an International Student, and right now I am planning to find a job related with my major either in the travel and tourism Industry or in the airline company. Moreover, as a long term goal I want to continue with my education by getting a Master's degree and later in the future have my own hotel resort.
