My name is Carl Skeene III. I am currently a sophomore at LaGuardia Community College and have earned 52.0 credits. My major is Design Studies. My major courses that I have taken so far are Beginning Drawing, Introduction to Design, Color Theory and I am enrolled in Intermediate Drawing, 3-D Design, History of Design, and Art and Society, an urban studies course. I have also taken classes in English, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Psychology, and Oral Communication. My interests include drawing, graphic design, and photography as well as the sciences and mathematics. One of my favorite things to do is use Photoshop to either create a new design or enhance a photograph that I have taken. Some personal goals include purchasing a home and starting a non-profit organization, providing scholarships and grants for people who are interested in studying or doing research in the various fields of the arts. I would also like to promote increased funding for art programs in schools nationwide, as I believe that art is essential to our growth and development as human beings and all children should have the opportunity to explore the arts in elementary and secondary schools.
