My educational goals are graduating from LaGuardia Community College in Spring 2009, getting an internship in the graphic design field, transferring to the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Ultimately, I plan to own and operate my own design and photography firm. I am also considering attending graduate school at SVA to further study graphic design.

The art courses I have taken have provided me with a strong foundation in the fine arts. There are valuable principles that I have learned with regard to value, contrast, brightness, color and the use of space that are very important in the study of graphic design. Learning the history helps me understand how art has developed, where art is now, and provides me with ideas on how I can effect change in graphic design to help advance the field in the future.
